WRITING THE ORIGINS OF CHINA

Chinese writing was fully developed after the second half of the Shang Dynasty (XIV-XI BC). In this period we have examples of writing in bone and turtle shells, for most divinatory texts, writing on oracle bones called in Chinese Jiaguwen, we also found written on bronze Jinwen. In this period and the writing was fully developed, is capable of complete and unambiguous evidence. It is thought that the incubation period to reach that level was quite long, but the few examples above to the fourteenth century are too scarce to allow a complete reconstruction of history.
