Coke (coke):
- oil distillation process for a product to dryness. The oil contains complex hydrocarbons are broken up into smaller structures during high temperature distillation to produce lighter hydrocarbons and also a rich deposit of coal or coke is deposited on the bottom of the still.
- add undesirable coke deposits at any refinery equipment.
- thermal cracking process in which heavy oils are broken down to produce lighter fractions and coke.
